“Dipped” Stools

March 14, 2012

On Saturday night I measured, taped, sanded, and painted the bottom seven inches of our kitchen stools’ legs.

We went to our local Ace Hardware and got a free quart of their new Clark + Kensington brand flat enamel, color matched to Benjamin Moore 1335 Cactus Flower. A quart of C+K is usually $14.99, so it was a great deal. I love the stools so much — I think they look like they were dipped in bubblegum.

My supplies were three Landon Barstools from Target, a quart of paint, a foam roller, blue painters’ tape, a measuring tape, and cardboard.

This project was inspired by many beautiful things on Pinterest, including this photograph from Apartment Therapy of Steph & Phil’s Victorian home in Portland, OR. There’s a huge “dipped” trend on the blogs lately and it’s just too cute and happy to pass up.

Go ahead, drool!
